Sorry about the weekend downtime, but I’ve been wanting to do a site revamp for a while and was finally inspired to do so by a reader/web designer who alerted me to how much I was losing by not having a responsive design (i.e., one optimized for reading on tablets and phones).
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m eager for feedback from anyone interested in commenting or sending me a direct note via the contact form.
In addition to compatibility with tablets/ smartphones, the new design represents yet another attempt to bring older but still-relevant writing (in the form of previously written series) closer to the surface. So I’m eager to hear if anyone thinks the new top-level menu structure accomplishes this goal.
Because my own skill-set ends shy of Illustrator, Photoshop or CSS, there are a couple of things I’d still like to do with the top banner and site layout that require talents I don’t have. But before plunging in, I’m eager to hear what you think.
